How to Get to Heaven with the Hutterites plot
Named after their 16th-century founder Jacob Hutter, the Hutterites are of Central European descent and ended up in Canada after many wanderings. They are often compared to the Amish, although they are not particularly averse to modernity, except when it comes to relaxation and leisure. Smoking, dancing, theatre, radio and television are taboo, among other things. The Hutterites live in small farming colonies and believe that a community life without private property is the way to heaven. This portrait of a Hutterite family introduces us to their way of life, but we also see how stressful this can be.
