Hold on to Her plot

In “Hold on to Her” a collective hearing is shown: various activists, with or without papers, reflect on the brutal death of Mawda Shawri. The two-year-old girl was shot dead by a Belgian police officer in 2018 during a check and after a chase on the highway. The multilingual testimonies shared in Robin Vanbesien’s film essay, the result of his doctoral research in the arts, build a dam against the impunity of an inhuman system.
