Hija de la Laguna plot
Nelida is a young woman from the mountains of Peru. She feels spiritually connected to the water gods. Because she lives near a large gold mine, the water supply in her area is at risk. Due to the planned expansion of the mine, it will absorb even more water and pollute the rest of the water. For Nelida, however, the lake is not just an amount of water, to be used by man as it suits him. The lake is her 'madre agua', and she does everything in her power to save her 'mother water'.
