Her Socialist Smile plot
The extraordinary Helen Keller, writer, activist, elocutionist and crusader for the disabled, could not see or hear, but hard work made her very successful and famous in her pronouncements. Her autobiography "The Story of My Life" and the dramatic film adaptation "The Miracle Worker" made her name a household name. "Her Socialist Smile" is an account of her political life as a champion of progressive causes. The film features images of her domestic life, her environment and her teacher Anne Sullivan, but the focus shifts to Keller's own words, as she fervently pleads for the things she believed so strongly.
