How do you survive the dark Finnish winter? In Prisoners of the Ground we travel through Finland where we get to know the melancholic life stories of a rich variety of people in karaoke bars and dance halls. While they find solace in the Finnish tango singing an unfulfilled longing, the snow outside slowly begins to melt. When the sun finally breaks through, will they reach the happy land of their dreams?
