Facing War plot

A political documentary that offers a unique insight into NATO's leadership during Russia's ongoing war in Ukraine. As Western unity falters, Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg extends his term for a final year and pledges to support President Zelensky "for as long as necessary." But because NATO decisions must be taken unanimously, his promise is tested by growing divisions among the allies.

A unique behind-the-scenes look at the UN, featuring Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg. He plays a crucial role in international relations with Finland, Sweden, and Ukraine, which, due to the invasion of Ukraine, are seeking swift membership of the United Nations. Gulliksen filmed informal conversations with Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Joe Biden, Emmanuel Macron, and Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, among others, as well as discussions with Stoltenberg's team, in which they discuss their diplomatic tactics. Fodder for diplomats and politicians, but we learn little about Stoltenberg himself. On October 1, 2024, Stoltenberg passed the baton to Mark Rutte.
