Évocateur: The Morton Downey Jr. Movie plot
In the late 1980s, American television was unpleasantly surprised by The Morton Downey Jr. Show, a program in which the sassy Morton (Mort) Downey Jr. his guests – to loud cheers from the audience – finally finished. It seemed obvious at first that Mort was putting on some sort of bastard act. But more and more the presenter started to believe in himself: he became insanely narcissistic, created an unprecedented misogyny and manipulated his audience. From a staunch Ted Kennedy supporter, he became an example of an extremely conservative Republican. At one point, Downey Jr. to pull a nice stunt with his audience, but he was not thanked for that: with the fast train speed with which he conquered his audience two years ago, his fans also let him down again. A film that uses animation images.
