Dominguinhos plot
In July 2013, the Brazilian accordion virtuoso, composer and singer Dominguinhos passed away at the age of 72. Known at the beginning of his career as Neném do acordion (born of the accordion), Dominguinhos was a passionate advocate of traditional Brazilian music. In addition to popular rhythms such as samba, conga, chachacha and beguine, he also played less widespread styles of music, such as the choro. His great love was the baião from his native region, with its mix of indigenous and colonial influences arising from Brazil's eventful history. A montage of archive images, concert recordings and interviews creates an image of a man whose life was dominated by music from the first to the last minute.
