Die Treibende Kraft plot

Angelika Nain is one of more than 50,000 visual artists in Germany. After graduating from a liberal arts college, she decided in 1996 to make a living from art. Since then, her works—paintings, objects, and prints—have been featured in over fifty solo and group exhibitions. Her politically engaged works reflect personal experiences: her years of working with refugees, her impressions of Africa, her experiences as a crew member on a rescue ship between Libya and Italy, and her engagement with postcolonialism.
