Cellists should avoid Beethoven's Fidelio, violinists Lazarev's performances by Tchaikosvki and wind symphonies by Mahler. These are risky pieces, according to this documentary directed by Noud Holtman. Musicians of the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra talk about occupational injuries such as 'frozen shoulders', hearing damage and torn attachments. For some, an injury means an abrupt end to their musical career and with it their passion. They are shocked and outraged that this is happening to them. It becomes painfully clear that they are ill-informed about the risks of their profession or that they knowingly turn a blind eye to it.
