De Nood aan Dansen plot

De Nood aan Dansen is a portrait of the Flemish-Moroccan choreographer Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, one of the most versatile and successful dance artists of our time. The documentary follows him as he criss-crosses Europe. While the film observes him creating and performing very different dance styles, he tells about the backgrounds of his unstoppable lust to create. As the child of a Moroccan father who was Muslim and a Catholic, Flemish mother, it was far from obvious that he would become an artist.
