Breaking the Maya Code plot
Documentary about the decipherment of the complex Maya script, a long and laborious process that has occupied linguists for centuries. The creators traveled to the remote jungles of southern Mexico and Central America to explore how the Mayan code was eventually cracked and what the ancient scriptures teach us about their civilization. That Mayan civilization was perhaps the most developed in pre-Columbian America.
