Birders: The Central Park Effect plot
"A film about birds and people."
Central Park, New York. An extraordinary collection of wild birds lives here in Manhattan's celebrated patch of greenery and is home to an equally colorful array of New Yorkers who organize their time according to the birds' rhythms of life. A writer, a trombone repairman, a fashion-averse teenager and a bird guide who has been tracking his observations since the 1940s are some of these enthusiasts. With spectacular footage that depicts the seasons, the viewer enters a world that normally goes unnoticed by the 38 million people who visit the park every year.
