Big Boys Gone Bananas!* plot

"The true story about a Swedish filmmaker, a banana corporation, dirty tricks, lawsuits, manipulation and the price of free speech."

The documented story by director Gertten about twelve plantation workers from Nicaragua who took on the large Dole fruit company and subsequently won the lawsuit, had a strange aftertaste. Dole was not amused and deployed a whole army of lawyers to take the documentary off festivals and blacken the makers. Successfully. But Gertten did not let himself be defeated, fought back and captured everything on film. Which resulted in this very exciting David -and- Goliath story.
