The family of filmmaker Claudia Lisboa doesn't look that plastic at first glance. Still, almost every member of the family has become acquainted with brother and cosmetic surgeon Sergio's knife. Sister Juliana can't look bad because of her anti-wrinkle injections, Sergio underwent four nose reductions, mother has become ageless due to facelifts and daddy has also had his eyes raised. Only eldest daughter Claudia was spared the knife, and that is an eyesore for the rest. She calls herself a 'beauty refugee' and lives in Sweden, far from the obsessions of her Brazilian family. In this personal documentary, Claudia Lisboa visits her parents, brother and sister in her native country. They tell her in no uncertain terms that she urgently needs a breast augmentation, rhinoplasty or botox treatment. The camera follows the filmmaker who has penetrating conversations with her separate family members.
