Bad Axe plot
"Bad Axe" takes a look at a run-of-the-mill Asian-American family trying to prevent their business and mental health from collapsing in 2020 as a pandemic, controversial restrictions, and even Black Lives Matter come to their small Michigan town. At the start of the Covid-19 crisis in March 2020, Siev, a filmmaker, left his home in New York City. He returned to Bad Ax, Michigan to document his family as they grapple with the fear of lost lives, lost business, and a lost community.
