After traveling 40,000 km, Nezih Ünen distilled the music documentary "Lost Songs of Anatolia" from 350 hours of recordings from 113 performances. Anatolia, in Asia Minor, has a particularly rich historical and cultural history, and its remains are more than once linked to folk music. But also more trivial events gave rise to the creation of music and dance. Corpse bearers, for example, once began to dance by a coffin because they could no longer stand the cold while standing still.
