Crossing the Bridge: The Sound of Istanbul plot
Alexander Hacke, member of the German band Einstürzende Neubauten, explores Istanbul because he was inspired by the soundtrack of Fatih Akins film Gegen Die Wand and fell in love with the city as a result. He wants to gain further knowledge about the world of Turkish music. Istanbul has a wide range. Alexander personally dives into this. We hear music from rock and hip-hop to classical 'arabesque': everything is covered.
