Allentsteig plot
Portrait of the Allentsteig military training area, the last blind spot on the Austrian map. Founded in 1938 by the Nazis, and which has been used ever since by the Allied occupiers and the Austrian state, 42 villages were evacuated and more than 7,000 inhabitants were driven from their homes. Without commentary, but with an eye for humorous details, exercises are followed, from small gunner training to massive tank movements. But the other sides of Allentsteig, such as current and former inhabitants and how nature also exerts its influence, are also discussed.
