Agromafia plot

Italy is one of the world's largest exporters of tomatoes, olive oil, and mozzarella, products with enormous profit margins. This has attracted the attention of the Camorra, 'Ndrangheta, and Cosa Nostra, criminal organizations based in southern Italy. For a long time, the relationship between producers and the mafia was peaceful, but recently it has deteriorated. Food products now yield as much as extortion or drugs, but with far less risk. As a result, the mafia has increased its influence over this lucrative sector.
