76 Minutes and 15 Seconds with Abbas Kiarostami plot
Abbas Kiarostami was a legendary Iranian filmmaker. He studied graphic design and painting at the University of Tehran. After his studies, he worked in the advertising world as a designer and illustrator in the 1960s. He was also active as a children's book illustrator during this period. In 1969 he was asked to set up a film department within the Tehran Center for Youth Development. At this institution, Kiarostami began directing and writing films and documentaries. In 1997 he won a Golden Palm at the Cannes Festival and in 1999 he received the Silver Lion at the Venice Film Festival. A photographer and long-time friend of Kiarostami, Seyfolah Samadian has collected some images of his moments with Kiarostami. Photos from traveling and the making of his films are discussed in detail.
