Über die Grenze plot

During a failed intervention, detective Leni Herold is taken hostage by two bank robbers in front of her father, intervention leader Steffen Herold. Steffen must make a lightning-fast decision whether to risk his daughter's life by trying to overpower the hostage takers. He decides not to risk it and the armed robbers can escape with Leni. When the criminals cross the French border, Steffen's colleague Ségolène Combass tries to convince him to leave the pursuit to her. In order to catch the perpetrators in the act, a drug deal in the port of Strasbourg is being monitored...
