The Nurse’s Secret plot
"The Family Called it ACCIDENT! The Coronor Called it SUICIDE!! The Police called it MURDER!!!"
One dark, stormy night, Juliet Mitchell finds her cousin Herbert Wynne dead in his room. When she then collapses, her doctor calls Dr. Stewart with the hospital and he asks for a nurse. On the advice of Police Inspector Tom Patten, who is investigating the cause of death, Stewart requests that nurse and Patten's fiancée Ruth Adams be sent. Outside Mitchell's house, Ruth meets a hysterical young woman who wants to know what happened and Ruth explains to her that she has come to take care of Juliet. Although Wynne's death appears to be a suicide, Juliet insists it was an accident. However, Patten is convinced it was murder.
