Smart model Gay Andrews and sneaky married advertising executive Bob Walker leave a restaurant in New Jersey. In Walker's car, both immediately get into an argument, because Gay doesn't want to go to a motel with him. The disappointed Walker then drives Gay to her house, but is forced to stop by a cop for speeding. Walker and Gay are taken to a police station, where Walker has to pay a $100 fine. But Bob has to drive to New York to collect the money, while Gay stays behind at the police station. While Bob is gone, the chubby Wayne Jackson, who has also been arrested for speeding, takes care of Gay.
