The Hang Up plot

Sergeant Robert Walsh is a tough, unyielding policeman and he has a problem. He can’t imagine that those he despises are people who, through a wrong or right choice, are drawn into the underworld. He is shocked to find that, during an arrest, he feels a spark of sympathy for a young prostitute. He helps her escape from the police and takes her under his wing. But the young woman is not who she seems.
