Tae-il is a thug, who is low in the pecking order. He has to collect money for a bunch of money from shopkeepers, who in return supposedly enjoy protection. He does his job well and does not feel any remorse. He is 42 years old and lives with the family of his brother who is a hairdresser. Tae-il has never been in love. One day he meets Ho-jung who works at a bank and takes care of her terminally ill father. He is in debt and Tae-il forces Ho-jung to sign a contract that forces her to sell her organs if she cannot pay her father's debts on time. Tae-il, however, keeps thinking about Ho-jung.
