Mörderische Stille plot
In the bay of Wilhelmshaven, a corpse floats in front of the sailboat of Michael Kühnert, the director of a sailing school. It concerns a former officer of the Dutch KFOR troops in Kosovo, who was stabbed. Jan Holzer, chief commissioner of the crime service, learns the identity of the man through a group of deaf sailors. Kühnert can 'translate' their gestures, because his wife Elena is also deaf and he has a good command of sign language. Jan Holzer is fascinated by this 'silent communication' and befriends the family, which also includes the 18-year-old daughter Sabin.
