Malibu Nights plot

On a warm Malibu night, wealthy property developer Thomas Delaney plunges into a ravine. It is not clear whether the man committed suicide or was murdered. Jake White and his partner Tim are assigned to the case and soon discover malicious intent. As the couple investigate Delaney's grubby private life, they track down Jake's former girlfriend Lisa, who later turns out to be with the victim the night he died. Jake can't believe Lisa is involved in the murder, while Tim struggles to convince him otherwise. Although Lisa is suspicious, it soon becomes apparent that Tim also has a lot to hide. Who else can Jake trust?
