The last film in the Matt Helm series, nice sequel but for me the least of the 4.

By the way, this is the first film I saw with Sharon Tate, I only knew her (unfortunately!) from the Manson Murders... I had to think of this regularly when I saw her beautiful appearance on the screen, a strange feeling if you think about it too much.

The Ravagers was officially the successor of this part, but according to IMDB Dean Martin had little interest in it after the murder of Sharon Tate. Too bad he never picked up the role of Matt Helm again, but at the same time 4 films might have been more than enough.

Extremely entertaining series!

My top 4:

1. Murderers' Row (1966) (4.0)

2. The Ambushers (1967) (3.5)

3. The Silencers (1966) (3.0)

4. The Wrecking Crew (1969) (3.0)

Mediocre film in which Matt Helm tries to retrieve a large stolen gold supply. This fourth and final part of the Matt Helm series is more of the same. Sometimes clumsy and for that reason sometimes also entertaining. But it does sag a bit here and there and often falls into repetition (the scenes with the ladies and the fight scenes). Enough beautiful women in beautiful outfits.

By the way, this is the film that Sharon Tate herself will see in the cinema in Once upon a Time... in Hollywood.

It took a while but now I finally saw it, this is the 2nd Helm film that I have seen and so far I find the series entertaining, just like the Bond series has taken itself way too seriously for a number of years now, this one is just delicious

the opposite and yet at times nice action, Tate's role is pleasantly clumsy with her river scene as the highlight.
