Gangway plot
Brave newspaper journalist Patricia Wayne from London boards the transatlantic ocean liner Goliath. She hopes to interview prominent Hollywood star Nedda Beaumont. She is followed by Inspector Bob Deering of Scotland Yard. Deering is looking for a jewel thief he knows is on board. Unfortunately, Deering doesn't know the thief's true identity and the hapless Patricia becomes his prime suspect. Meanwhile, Patricia is being chased by a gangster, who also sees her as a jewel thief and before the Goliath enters New York harbor she is kidnapped.
