Der Letzte Zeuge plot
Ingrid Bernhardy and her ex-boyfriend Heinz Stephan are suspected of the murder of Ingrid's illegitimate child and are placed in pre-trial detention. Stephan turns out to have a good alibi and is released, but Ingrid is in trouble. She was with an industrialist at the time of the murder, whom she hoped would divorce and marry her, but the man hadn't thought of that at all.
