À Qui Profite le Doute? plot

In a marina in Marseille, the lifeless body of young drug dealer Kevin Lantier is fished out. Sybille Varlet, the daughter of a famous ship owner, quickly comes into the picture as a suspected murderess. She is said to have bought drugs from Kevin. However, Véra, Sybille's mother, has no intention of letting her daughter be held responsible for the murder and calls on the help of the only man she has ever loved: Giovanni Costello, a former police commissioner from Marseille who has gone to live in Crete after their breakup.
