A Brooklyn State of Mind plot

Al Stanco has lived in Brooklyn all his life. He regularly performs manual labor for local gangster boss Danny Parente. One day, Al meets the filmmaker Gabriela, who is making a documentary about Brooklyn. Al and Gabriela become friends, but their friendship is strained when Al discovers her true purpose. Gabriela wants to uncover the truth of Parente's doings. Al learns that Parente is guilty of his father's death and he doesn't let it go.
