Thirteen in a dozen film with reasonable interpretations but with characters that can't really captivate so the course of the story left me cold. The problem is that this has been done much more often and also better, the lack of originality breaks the film.

Plenty of entertainment.

The always striking Brad Renfro in his last real leading role, alongside a faded Marsden and excellent Ribisi. The latter in particular impresses during this gangster drama, in which there is a lot of fun. In a very entertaining way, yes. Renfro died of an overdose two years later, a week before the same happened to Heath Ledger. Renfro, who made his debut as a child actor in The Client, plays the not too bright younger brother of Marsden, who wants to keep him and nephew Ribisi out of the hands of the law by working undercover for two dubious agents.

The story has little to say and the necessary clichés are not shunned, but the acting performances are perfectly fine and keep the viewer's attention well. The supporting roles are also well played and the violence is set against a nice soundtrack. 10th & Wolf is not lacking in atmosphere. The film may not quite measure up to the big mafia classics, but there is plenty of entertainment. Ribisi steals the show as the gangster with a street girl mentality and quickly forgets the lack of originality.

Good.

10th & Wolf wasn't exactly bad, but I didn't think it was a great movie either.

James Marsden plays Tommy who is in the Navy.

After he drunkenly assaults one of the MPs and steals the Colonel's jeep, he is arrested.

Tommy comes into contact with the FBI who are doing everything they can to arrest Italian mob boss Luciano Reggio.

His cousin Joey and brother Vincent will play an important role in this.

The film is largely supported by James Marsden, Giovanni Ribisi and Brad Renfro.

Dennis Hopper and Val Kilmer have more supporting roles.

At times I thought Marsden's acting was mediocre, and we've seen stories like this in several movies.

Despite the fact that it is based on a true story, I don't exactly think this is a memory.

2.5 *
