Lots of good jokes, lots of corniness, Owen Wilson who fits his role so well that I actually find him acceptable, lots of funny cameos. In between also a lot of stupidity, a climax that is just painfully unpleasant (the attack that doesn't go through... then again... not... well... acrobatic fighting skills... faints...[ /spoiler]), in the lead role an actor that you like (not me), in the villain role an actor I can't imagine lying to anyone, all chock full of ideas that don't make a nice cohesive film anyway. Jokes enough, but not enough humor to laugh. I think so, because all those four- and five-star ratings here... DAVID BOWIE?!? JON VOIGHT?!?

“I'm pretty sure there's a lot more to life than being really, really, ridiculously good looking. And I plan on finding out what that is.”

Mediocre. Of course everything is presented with a wink, but even then Zoolander is not really funny except for a single scene. The only fun scene is the one in which Stiller and Wilson have a dance-off on the catwalk. Stiller has one trick in this film and that is act stupid and look stupid. The fun wears off quickly with both. Then Wilson is in even better shape, and Christine Taylor isn't doing badly either. For the rest it is mainly 'cameo check', because quite a few famous people come along. Still something fun to do while watching this movie.

This is one of those movies that you absolutely have to see if you like comedy movies. I personally think the jokes are fantastic. Since Zoolander itself is not a character to be taken seriously, you should absolutely not do that. In addition, we need to take comedy films more seriously. They are the most important movies! They make us feel good.
