Up the Creek plot

"The greatest belly laugh of them all."

Humphrey Fairweather is well known in the Navy. Again and again he tries to convince them that his missile system is much better than what is currently in use. The Navy thinks they can get rid of him by appointing him as captain of the ancient ship Berkeley. The crew is not so happy with his arrival, they make big profits like true mafioso by agreements in a coastal town and that could be over with the arrival of Fairweather. It is not too bad, however, when it turns out that Fairweather also on the Berkeley does not want to occupy himself with anything else than his mission: building rockets.
