Underground Rendezvous plot
In the 1980s, the eldest son of a poor family decides to go to Seoul and become a teacher. Once he reaches the city, his bags and money are stolen. He manages to reach a remote town where they happened to be looking for a new teacher for the kids from the town. He soon falls in love with a woman but her origin is unknown, although the people of the village think she comes from somewhere in the north. It turns out that the villagers communicate with another neighboring town in North Korea through a secret tunnel connecting the two.
