Un Mondo a Parte plot
After 40 years of teaching in the urban jungle of Rome, primary school teacher Michele Cortese moves to an idyllic village in the heart of the Abruzzo National Park with 1,800 inhabitants to teach at a tiny school with just a handful of pupils aged seven to ten. He finds it hard to adapt to the local culture, but thanks to the friendly deputy headmistress Agnese and the spirited pupils, he gradually finds his way. But just when everything seems to be going well, bad news arrives. The school has not reached its number of pupils for next year and has to close. So begins a race against time to save the school at all costs.
