Sometimes a nice watch about a somewhat socially awkward man who meets two women. Only he isn't the only hunter, and both women receive a lot of attention from other men. Men who, unlike him, are a lot more direct and sociable.

In itself, it isn't anything special, but the film is easy to watch. The revealing conversations between him and his neighbor were intimate and disarming. Sylvain is a man who comes across as very insecure, and that makes for some nice moments occasionally, especially when Patricia plays with it a bit.

A 'small', and beautiful French film. At the beginning of the film, I thought, this isn't going to be any good, and nothing is happening either. But gradually, the bumbling of that man and his inability to enjoy life started to captivate me after all. Indeed, not very much happens, no 'major' developments, but enough is happening between the lines. It is a film about people who, in everyday life, also always have to wait in line. That applies to the women as well, mother and daughter, who come to spend a week's holiday in that seaside town on the Normandy coast. They seem to be enjoying themselves, but where will they go back to afterwards? That Constance Rousseau (Patricia) is quite a looker. She refused to be sent away.
