"Torchy Puts All Her Yeggs In One Basket... And Cracks A Crime Trust Wide Open!"
Detective Steve McBride receives information from secret agent Gilbert about a counterfeiter likely to strike at a nearby race track. The police give Gilbert permission to follow the trail, unaware that he is actually the counterfeiter, using their approval as a cover for his plan. Reporter Torchy Blane ignores Steve's warning to avoid the race track and follows Gilbert, intent on getting a scoop.
