"Gently LIKE A SOCK IN THE JAW!...Torchy Blane will win your smiles!"

Fitz Mularkey is the respected owner of a popular Los Angeles nightclub. Mularkey wants to get rid of the club to marry the beautiful Marcia Friel, so he sells his business to Tiny Torgenson. When the latter is killed just before journalist Torchy Blane, she and her friend, police officer Steve McBride, investigate to find out who was trying to get rid of Torgenson.
