There Was a Young Lady plot
Elizabeth Foster, the highly efficient secretary of a diamond merchant, loses her job after a disagreement. As she leaves the building, she is immediately kidnapped by a gang of jewel thieves. In exchange for her freedom, she helps the thieves escape, but they then decide to hold her captive until they carry out another heist. Elizabeth soon becomes involved in improving their living conditions. She also seems to know more about their upcoming jewel heist than they do.
