There Was a Crooked Man plot

Nice demolition expert Davy Cooper comes into contact with criminals who pose as doctors. In this disguise, the thieves build a tunnel between the hospital and the bank next door. The expert manages to blow up the safe and the criminals escape with their loot. Davy stays behind and ends up in jail. Five years later, the man has learned his lesson and tries to make amends by taking a job at a small resort. More trouble ensues when he sees the city's most prominent citizen cheating on his neighbors by selling fake stocks. To stop him, Davy enlists the help of his old gang. They pose as American soldiers and offer to build a missile base in the city.
