Dawn enters a dating show under the impression that it is in Paris, France, so she can combine it with an art trip. However, it turns out to be in Paris, Texas. She tries to get out of it, but falls for single Trey, which throws her plans into disarray.

A decent film in which a woman participates in a dating show for all the wrong reasons. A good setup for a rom-com like this. Predictable, but that's not a bad thing. Quite entertainingly developed here and there. However, some characters push the boundaries of irritation.

Quite enjoyable, especially because the central duo is likable and most of the supporting characters are actually quite funny as well. Lovely, atmospheric images of Texas, horses, and rural life. A bit over the top, of course, but enjoyable viewing overall. 105 minutes is definitely too long, and towards the end, all the clichés about the structure and development of such films come to the fore, and this film becomes less and less captivating. 3.0*

I had to watch it with my wife. Within the genre, it was all fine and pleasantly lighthearted. But holy crap, what kind of filter did they put on the film? Everything that wasn't centered (and therefore not in focus) looked blurry. A truly visual monstrosity. Perhaps intentional, but it's unwatchable when everything is obscured by the filter.
