"They might be his hostages but what they're doing to this guy is criminal."
Arguing couple Caroline and Lloyd are on their way home from couples therapy on Christmas Eve. The fugitive burglar Gus kidnaps them and hides in their villa. Gus is maddened by the quarrels between the couple and starts brandishing his gun. Because of this, Caroline and Lloyd finally begin to listen to each other. But when Lloyd's dreaded mother comes to dinner, Gus pretends to be their relationship counselor. That doesn't exactly solve the problems.
