The Lies We Tell Ourselves plot
"Don't trust anyone, especially you."
An eccentric director travels to the Cannes Film Festival, Berlin, the German countryside, New Caledonia, Australia and England to make her latest arthouse film. She must overcome all sorts of obstacles, from promoters who want her to sleep with the "right people" to washed-up stars with ridiculous requests, and from make-up artists turned coke dealers to unsolicited nude auditions.
