The Last Word plot
"An unexpected friendship that began at the end."
A one-time successful businesswoman, Harriet Lawler, has mastered every aspect of her life to perfection. She also wants her obituary to be perfect. She gives the task to local writer Anne Sherman. When the first draft doesn't live up to her expectations, Harriet decides to rewrite her life story before it's too late. She drags Anne along as an unwilling accomplice. But slowly Anne begins to realize that she is not shaping Harriet's legacy but her own.
