Mediocre film in which a Playboy bunny is evicted from the Playboy mansion because she is too old. The fish-out-of-water system could have been worked out more nicely (it could have been a bit more). The humor is alternately easy/bland and sometimes quite funny. An entertaining cast, but 3.0 stars would be just too much.

Revision makes it a bit more fun.

Not that I remembered much of this movie, but apparently I watched it once in a kind of Happy Madison rush. The House Bunny brings just a little different humor, which makes it not the best match in terms of comparison.

But it can still be done on its own. It's not a grand or hilarious comedy, but it's light-hearted entertainment. This time also irritated me a bit less about the characters, maybe because there have been a few films in this genre in recent years that were a lot more annoying.

It's a decent snack. Not a really memorable film or one that I wholeheartedly recommend to everyone, but those who are looking for pure comedies and no longer find what they are looking for in the current drama-dy landscape will find quite a nice film here. An asterisk may be added.

2.5*

Well okay.

Actually just a very typical comedy film that clearly comes from the American side. Only this time with a slightly different approach, that one of the characters has a Playboy background. I don't see that very often in American comedies, but on the other hand an ideal recipe.

Faris is actually quite nice. In the beginning she made me fear a lot of irritation, but Faris knows how to get you along in the long run. At times a bit over-the-top and not every joke is fun, but she is completely absorbed in her role and that shows, because it really works.

As for the rest, they are also doing very well. An earlier role of Stone here. She is not very special here, but at least she knows how to hold her own. A few other decent supporting roles, but in the end it is Faris who steals the spotlight and takes the full attention.

Jokes aren't all fun. I especially don't like that awkward hassle that comes back every time. Especially between Hanks and Faris, the jokes often go wrong and the film relies a bit too much on those kinds of jokes that are never really fun.

Well, at drier times, still quite funny. Can laugh a few times. Not a stomachache from laughing, but at least it's quite entertaining. Ultimately mainly a good comedy, with a few messages that are squeezed into it. It's pretty solid in the end.

It also doesn't take too long and follows the lines well. I kind of like these kinds of environments anyway, so it wasn't a very difficult task either. Pretty nice jokes here and there, but the majority unfortunately miss the point.
