"He's having a mid-term crisis."
Charlie Thurber (Wilson) is an English professor at Gray University. He wants to get a permanent contract, but in doing so faces competition from Elaine Grasso (Mol), a former professor at Yale University. Thurber gets help from a colleague who convinces him to thwart Grasso as much as possible. However, the question is whether Thurber can trust this colleague.
