Summertime Switch plot

Two boys, Fast Eddie Egan (Weaver) and wealthy snob Frederick Egan III (Strong), come from two completely different social backgrounds. They have nothing in common at all, except the same first and last name. When they go to summer camp, their destinations, which are on the same lake, are mistakenly switched. The spoiled Egan III ends up in a kind of labor camp for juvenile delinquents, where Sergeant Waldren with the iron knuckle is in charge. Meanwhile, the cunning street urchin Fast Eddie is in a chic hotel room, with the expensive name Reagan Suite. He begins to enjoy the luxurious life and nice girls. Both boys manage to adapt to their unwanted circumstances and in the process learn a few valuable things about life such as the fact that prejudices are wrong and that on balance the hard life in the sergeant's camp has at least been spared. of the nasty traps and snake pits.
